Karma - Yoga

Updated: May 28, 2023

About good and bad deeds and how the beach combines karma and yoga.

Amano with rubbish he found at the beach.

We all do good and bad. Whether consciously (intentionally) or unconsciously (unintentionally or even unnoticed), we do or say something without being aware of the consequences or effects. Whether small or large, we sometimes hurt or leave a mark in life. Today we talk about our carbon footprint to use a term used by the world as an example.

I for example, as a teenager, I personally simply threw chewing gum wrappers and cigarette butts on the floor, along with many other imprints that were left behind. I had no awareness of what that would leave in the world. Everyone has done it this way. Today, in times when you can find garbage and microplastics on every beach, I am ashamed of my ignorance and try to counteract my previous actions.

Karma is the law of cause and effect. And yoga is the practice of uniting the body, mind and spirit.

My attempt now is not only to balance past deeds or influences with good deeds or words, but if necessary even to accumulate good deeds and words in order to ease my personal karma. I call that collecting good karma points. However, I think it is even more important for future generations to leave this world in the best possible condition.

That's why I try to collect as much rubbish as possible on every beach I visit and every place I stand. To be as friendly and loving as possible with everyone I meet. To positively influence the world with my two hands.

When I collect rubbish on the beach, I often find beautiful stones that remind me of how beautiful our world is. In my understanding, these stones carry wonderful energies of earth and water. Adorned as jewelry, they should help us to continue pursuing this project for a long time to come.

That's why we also offer this jewelery for sale (more information comes in the next article). All proceeds are used to advance this project. And who knows maybe even your karma.
